Bishop Darryl McClary is a voice of clarity, a vessel of covenant, and a visionary for Kingdom culture. He serves as the Senior Pastor of New Light Church – The City of Praise, alongside his beloved wife, Elder Jessica McClary, affectionately known as “Pastor J”, who serves faithfully as Executive Pastor. Together, they are the co-founders of the Empowering Word Covenant Alliance (EWCA), a growing fellowship of churches and ministries united by spiritual accountability and Kingdom vision.

With a shepherd’s heart and an apostolic mandate, Bishop McClary has dedicated his life to building people, developing leaders, and advancing the Kingdom of God through local and global initiatives. His preaching is known for its theological depth, spiritual conviction, and homiletical precision—always rooted in the authority of Scripture and delivered with clarity and boldness. Whether he is training leaders, developing infrastructure, or delivering a word from the Lord, he brings wisdom soaked in prayer, truth anchored in grace, and leadership rooted in Christlikeness.

A devoted husband and committed father, Bishop McClary embodies the balance of family, faith, and ministry while also furthering his education at Regent University. He is a mentor to emerging leaders, an architect of ministerial training systems, and a strategist who strengthens both church governance and prophetic culture.

He is not merely a preacher—he is a builder. He builds churches, cultivates covenant relationships, and equips leaders to walk in biblical authority, spiritual maturity, and prophetic discernment. With a heart for revival and a mind for reform, Bishop McClary stands as a bridge between the ancient path and the apostolic future.

Jessica T. McClary has been involved in Christian ministry the majority of her life. She has served alongside her husband, Pastor Darryl J. McClary, in various capacities throughout their marriage.

At an early age, Pastor J, as she is affectionately known by the congregation of New Light, formulated a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that allows her to exhibit the unconditional love of God to those with whom she comes into contact. Known by those around her as a woman wise beyond her years; she draws heavily on her educational background in Human Services Counseling and Social work as she seeks to holistically meet the needs of families In the Body of Christ. She firmly believes, “Healthy Families create Healthy Churches.” A soft-spoken woman, Pastor J, has an amazing ability to reach and inspire as she gracefully balances her role as Executive Pastor and her husband’s greatest supporter.

This multifaceted and amazing woman is also a phenomenal mother. Together she and her husband are blessed to parent Zion, Madison, Darryl, Jr. and many others.
